Lara obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Nursing Education Program of Saskatchewan (NEPS), University of Saskatchewan She worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of settings, including acute care; medical surgery units, pediatrics, day surgery, women’s health and community settings with public health; the maternity visiting program and Indigenous Health.
Lara graduated with her Master of Nursing: Nurse Practitioner from the Collaborative Nurse Practitioner Program (CNPP), University of Regina in 2016. She is registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan practices as a Family All Ages Nurse practitioner. Lara’s nursing passion includes caring for people of all ages from infancy to elderly. She has a passion for women’s health and enjoys working with vulnerable people in marginalized communities. She believe in equality for all patients and works to break down any barriers that will result in poor health outcomes.
